Alamanda is
an air-conditioned, 3 bedroom/2 bathroom, luxury holiday villa
located in Holetown, St James on the west coast of Barbados.
Guests have authorised beach access through Discovery Bay
Hotel. Accommodation includes all utilities and friendly maid
service six days per week
Alamanda is
suitable for 3 couples sharing or a for a family.
The
veranda
The living
areas open out onto the large L-shaped, covered veranda complete
with comfortable rattan sofa and chairs, coffee table and
a gas barbecue. There are also 6 aluminium/plastic chairs
and a table, plus 2 matching sun loungers. The veranda overlooks
the villa’s beautiful tropical gardens which are attractively
illuminated at night.
Alamanda
villa is tastefully furnished throughout.
The fully equipped
kitchen includes a dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, oven/hob,
microwave and a blender.

area has a large oval table and six chairs. In the lounge
there is a 27inch flat screen TV, VCR, CD/cassette/radio stereo
system and 2 telephones
(for accepting incoming calls and making outgoing local calls
- which are free). Subscription to CBC Multichoice (cable/satellite
TV) is included offering 21 channels including CNN, Discovery
Channel, National Geographic, Cartoon Network, BBC, and ESPN.

bedrooms are air-conditioned and all rooms are fitted with
ceiling fans and portable standing fans.
The
Master Bredroom
The master
bedroom has a king size bed and an en suite bathroom. Additional
bedroom furniture include bedside tables and lamps, mirrors,
and chests of drawers. All bedrooms have electronic combination
safes for secure storage of money, jewellery, cameras and
other valuables. A hairdryer is also supplied for Alamanda's
guests.

Access:
The inside of Alamanda villa is all on a single level
with no steps.
There is a
central corridor 5ft (1.525 meters) wide from which all bedrooms
are accessed. The internal doorways and main entrance doors
have a minimum width of 30 inches (760 mm).
Outside there is a single step 6 inches high (150mm) from
the patio up into the house and there is a path (minimum width
37inches - 940mm) - connecting the patio to the driveway (road
level), which is a single 5-inch step
below path level.
A very
good selection of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets
are located nearby.
Discover
Bay Beach
Bars, banks,
a supermarket, post office, doctor’s surgery and an
air-conditioned shopping mall - with duty free shops - are
all within a few minutes walk. Sunset Crest has 2 cyber cafés
– 1 in the mall and the other is close to the convenience
store.

Discovery Bay Pool
Alamanda guests
have authorised beach access through the Discovery Bay Hotel
which is just 100 metres from the villa. This does not give
automatic access to Discovery Bay’s swimming pool but
many guests use this facility freely. If you do decide to
use the pool at Discovery Bay, you are requested to use your
discretion and perhaps buy the occasional drink from the poolside
bar.
Many water
sports including scuba diving and snorkelling are available
locally. The nearby tennis courts are available for hire at
a nominal charge from the Discovery Bay Hotel (subject to
availability). Other local public courts are also available.
The accomodation includes ample parking space directly inside
the gate at Alamanda should you wish to hire a car during
your stay.

A small security deposit of BD$400.00 will be payable upon
arrival. This will be refunded at the end of the vacation
less any costs incurred for damage, breakages or loss of property

Directions:
Leave Bridgetown heading north on the West Coast Road. Passing
through Holetown you will find the entrance to the Discovery
Bay Hotel on your left. Immediately opposite this is the entrance
to Jamestown Park. Alamanda is the fourth villa on the left
