We are approximately 100 yards from the beach home of a famous actress,
where US President Reagan, during his visit to Barbados, bathed and swam.

The Location

Karekath apartments are located on the beach front of fashionable Mullin's Bay on the exclusive West Coast of Barbados. Bridgetown, the capital is 8 miles from the apartments. The international Airport, Grantley Adams International, is 20 miles away. We are 2 minutes walk from the Bank, Supermarket & the shopping centre of Speightstown, Barbados' second town.

This is a cozy, well-apportioned, beautifully decorated apartment, looking directly onto the ocean and garden. It is our most popular apartment. You walk from your front door down a couple of steps into the garden and to the pearl-like white-sand beach. From your apartment you will hear the constant sound of placid, gentle waves.

The small private patio is well-suited for morning coffee/breakfast. This apartment comes with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living area with a queen sized sofa bed.

Both bedrooms are air-conditioned and the second bedroom conveniently opens onto the laundry area. Rose has cable TV, VCR, cassette radio, etc.

Dev Apartment

Dev Apartment is a bright, well-laid out apartment at the front of the building.

There is a fully-equipped kitchen including microwave, coffee machine and blender. Dev has cable TV, VCR, and cassette radio. It has separate living and dining areas. The living room has a sofa bed and a small private patio with a direct view of the potted hibiscus garden. The dining room seats six comfortably.

This apartment has two air conditioned bedrooms with double and queen beds, respectively. Bedroom 2 conveniently opens into the laundry area.

Each apartment can sleep a maximum of 6 persons

Neumeier Apartment

The "flagship" - very spacious two bedroom, two bathroom unit. "Neumeier" takes up the complete top floor of the complex. "Neumeier" boasts a well ventilated and elegant dining room with a large 8-seater dining table and a spacious living room.

A southeast gallery takes in the potted garden, while the gallery off the master bedroom looks out onto the main garden and the Caribbean Sea.

There is a breakfast area off the kitchen and a bar counter with stools making for a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. The well-furnished and equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher. "Neumeier" also has it's own washing machine.

All bedrooms are air-conditioned. The master bedroom has a king bed and walk-in closet. The second bedroom has two large single beds for your convenience. The quaint enclosed boardwalk allows all occupants of "Neumeier" to enjoy the west gallery looking onto the garden and the pool-like caribbean sea. You have to experience it to believe it.

Kathy Apartment

This apartment is on the east of the building complex downstairs and across the foyer from apartment "Karen". Therefore, when one is in the apartment the windows are at eye-level whereas from the outside the windows are at foot level.

The kitchen is fully-equipped including microwave oven, coffee machine and blender.

It is a very cozy, quiet and comfortable apartment. A VCR & cassette radio comes standard with this apartment. Some guests insist on staying only in "Kathy" saying it is ideal for a restful, quiet holiday.

There is a large air-conditioned bedroom with it's own cable TV. In addition to the double bed there is a bunk bed that easily converts to two single beds.

Please note "Kathy" is a fully air-conditioned semi-basement unit with limited outside view. The windows are at your head when inside the apartment and at your feet when outside.

Of course there is no dress code needed to enjoy early breakfast or late sunsets from the tree house deck - specially built for these downstairs apartments
("Karen" & "Kathy") with no patio.

This is a spacious, comfortable and private apartment located on the bottom floor of the complex.

As with the other apartments "Karen" has a fully-equipped kitchen as well as cable TV, VCR, cassette radio and is fully air-conditioned which adds to its comfort. This quiet apartment is ideal for a get-away vacation and is suitable for long-term or short-term rental.

It has a large air-conditioned bedroom with queen size bed and two single beds and a single bathroom. The large bedroom has a television in addition to the one in the living area. From your bed the gentle waves provides pleasant background music.

In the apartment the windows are at eye level; when outside they are at ones feet. One set of bedroom windows faces the sea.

Amenities

Karekath offers complete relaxation, a home from home. No dress codes. Car hire that comes to you, can be arranged. Our business is to pamper and serve you.

Barbados is a Caribbean jewel, set in a perfect climate of all year round sunshine, cooled by constant trade winds. Our temperature is a maximum of 88 in the middle of summer. The island's sparkling turquoise seas afford unparalleled water sports with coral reefs for snorkeling and diving. We have pure white sand beaches for lazing in the sun.

The apartments are fully equipped with all the comforts of home, and all the bedrooms are air conditioned.

Each apartment has a microwave oven, AM/FM cassette radio,
colour television with cable TV (CNN, Lifetime, ESPN, TNT & CARTOON NETWORK) & VCR, and telephone. a Waltel personal safe, hair dryer or salon dryer,
as well as french fry/chip pans are available on request.

Washing machines and dryer are available for vactioners' use.

There are beach towels, linen change, and a weekly maid service.

SORRY - NO PETS. NO SMOKING IN BUILDING.

Things to do and see

An endless variety of restaurants are islandwide, with some popular ones within walking distance of the apartments, Mannie's suga suga restaurant. Several large supermarkets are located in Speightstown, within 3 minutes walking distance of the apartments. Tennis, water-skiing, golf, deep sea fishing, island excursions, car rentals are available and can be arranged. Duty free shopping is also available to add to all the markings for an absolutely delightful holiday.

Additional Attractions: Cricket. Golf has become a major sport in Barbados with the building of several world class 18 hole golf courses such as Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane Golf courses. There is also the Barbados Academy of Golf and the Barbados Golf Club as well as the Rockley Golf Course.

Other well supported sports include polo, water polo, squash, lawn tennis, table tennis, hockey, surfing, windsurfing, rugby, track and field events, marathons, netball basketball, horse racing, Tae Kwondo, Judo and Karate.

For those wishing to experience the natural wonders of the island, there's scuba diving on numerous reefs, complete with ship wrecks, nature trails, cave tours, submarine dives, and helicopter tours. The Diving club is just yards away from Karekath . Water sports are next door on the beach.

At night, dine at gourmet restaurants serving both local and non local cuisines, then dance the night away at one of numerous night clubs around the island.
